"The Truth"

See all I wanted was my dad to be there, but I guess it was too much for him to man up to his owns fears,

[Verse 1:]
You see it took me a while here to write this song and when I say that I really mean ages,
Lemme explain it's a song about my dad and how he's selfish and yo I didn't wanna waste pages,
I was only bout 5 when I met him prior to it tho I thought I was born me a bastard,
It's like it took him 5 years figure out and sober out from gettin motherF£$kin plastered,
Leaving maa to raise six on her with two jobs paying rent tax ant the higher rates,
With no-one else but herself to help gather her wealth and make her kids have a food filled plate,
The only reason that he came into my life when he did cause I asked maa why he weren't around...
The funny thing is that she warned me I'm better off without him cause he would only bring me down,
But lookin in her eyes there was so much the way she raised me it made my heart feel he could change,
It seems I was more mature as a 5 year old kid than he was as a fully grown man,
I never usually regret anything from my past, see I won't do it if it ain't worth doing.
-But I guess it's my bad, my mistake and my fault and now we both have somethin in common,
And that's a shame!

See all I wanted was my dad to be there, but I guess it was too much for him to man up to his owns fears,
What kind of man try disowning his youth? You might think this can't be real but listen while I tell you Truth,

[Verse 2:]
There was a time in the past where it actually felt quite cool knowing he was my father,
But as most things go it didn't last too long you see he felt he always had to bring drama,
He didn't do drugs naa he weren't an alcoholic and I swear down he weren't no beater,
But he surely had a knack for cuttin back on the love for a son and letting that sting linger,
Cause I found out by mistake that I've actually got myself two younger brothers,
And the family that they came from still don't know that there be one other,
See he promised me when I turn 16 I would be introduced and official,
To this day, hour, minute and second I ain't heard jack shit let alone had a visual,
So what would you do?
A gullible teenager,
With nothin to lose but then a few years later,
True colours start to overflow,
And it hit's "I don't want a Dad no more"
You might think I'm being harsh or a little heartless sprayin bad shit about my Father,
But have a deep thought of who's feeelin the pain and you'll understand my sense of Karma!

[Chorus x2]

[Verse 3:]
I turned 18,
Still no sign of the kid spurred dream,
So I went down to the house for a chat,
Just resolve the past shit that we had I was overly glad,
But the mood soon changed,
Guess who had to go and bring the drama again?
And over again...
We had it out through voice,
Now I was this close now to callin my boys... but it weren't worth it,
I guess we both knew the verdict,
Was only way to solve it
